Our company
Some background - John and I have been best friends since middle school. We have been nerds forever. I got into Pokémon when I was 9, Magic: the Gathering when I was 15, and then when I was 18 John introduced me to Dungeons and Dragons. Since that time John and I have been in dozens of games (either as player or DM) and still always find new ways to enjoy the game. We have found great success with our weekly gaming group that has been meeting up regularly since 2017. Gaming is an ingrained part of who we are
This company got its start when we were playing MTG at a local restaurant and we came up with the crazy idea of a dice company. We have had many other similar ideas but this one stuck with me. I did some research, got our ducks in a row, and less than a month later (April 2017) Critical Hit Collectibles was born. We started off with very little capital but have invested blood, sweat, and tears into this company to get it to where it is today. We will keep that mentality and keep pushing to become bigger all the time.
Our goals are to provide dice at decent prices to FLGS and individuals, we want to make gaming easier for everyone to access.
Our team
This company originally started as a duo, just John and I. We are still the main members for the day to day operation but there are a couple of others that deserve mention.
John F. - John is our Sales/Marketing department. He also comes up with creative ideas which I then process to see if it is viable. He is a social butterfly and will talk your ear off given the chance. At conventions he is always a source of energy as he does voices matching characters going by or saying some clever phrase as they go by. He is well entrenched in the movie and TV culture. He has been in several plays in the Los Angeles area and most recently participated in a reading of The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers during which he played Gandalf/Gollum/Sméagol and did a phenomenal job. He is my best friend and though sometimes he wants to make poor business decisions, he will always be my best friend.
Rachel G. - Rachel has been going to conventions with us starting with Los Angeles Comic Con 2017 (called Comikaze back then). Originally she helped out as a "booth mom" (while she would go out and see the convention she would make sure that we had food or drink) she has most recently stepped into a more sales role while still being the booth mom. She will also be joining us as an author for our blog and will provide the monthly serial for the subscription boxes. She also is working on HER OWN GAME SYSTEM which we will be happy to be apart of when she is ready
Our team
Henry L. - Henry has only recently joined out team with his first convention being Los Angeles Comic Con 2019. His antics and personality are a draw for customers at conventions and he always makes sure everyone is entertained. He also will possibly be joining us in a sales capacity to help John out making more calls.
Thomas B. - Im the numbers guy who tries to take all of the fantastic ideas thrown around and tries to make them a reality. I do the purchasing/analytics and make sure that everything ends up working out. Gaming has been such a big part of my life that I want to help make it more accessible to as many folks as possible.
